Note from the President - Posted Friday, December 05, 2008

Noblesville United Friends and Family,

As we head into the holiday season, I want to take this time to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a tremendous New Year.  I would also like to offer some short updates on our Club, as well as an exclusive invitation. We are holding our Annual Meeting at the Noblesville City Building on January 12th at 7PM.  This is important, you need to understand and appreciate that we are one of the only clubs in Indiana that holds open elections for the Board of Directors and offer an annual "state of the Club".  This meeting is your opportunity to have a direct impact on your kid's lives and the community so please accept this offer to take an hour and make an impact. This year, there are two Board positions up for election: President and At-Large.  We will have the actual roles and responsibilities on the web so please review them and consider joining the team.  The primary role of the At-Large position is to drive our community awareness, work with our Rec Director, Operational Director and our Sponsorship Committee to generate sponsorship dollars and fundraising for the Club.  Those funds are used to sponsor Rec teams, purchase equipment, provide additional training, etc...  As for the President's role, it is a tremendous opportunity to lead a dedicated group of professionals and volunteers in one of Hamilton County and Indiana's premier youth sports organizations... and it is fun!  You will soon see an invite for our second Annual Dinner Dance coming this March.  Last year we raised over $10,000 - thanks to many of you... and this year we want to raise even more as we need new nets and several new goals!  Thank you again for your time and investment in this endeavor!

Thank you all for your support, input, comments, dedication and hard work!

Please come see us at the Annual Meeting...  An important opportunity for you to impact the Club!

Michael E. Ghrist
NUSC President
